Sherina was born in St. Louis, MO but calls Colorado Springs home. She is a military brat that grew up traveling the world. She is married to Garry Pate who is also a loan officer at Supreme Lending. Sherina met her husband in high school and they later became friends and spouses. They have been married for 15 years and together they have three sons, a 16 year old Performing Arts student, and 14 year old twins who play baseball, one who is a competitive diver. She currently resides in Lilburn, GA. Atlanta has been home for 22 years.
Sherina became a loan officer in 2001 after having her twins and leaving a 10 year career in Corporate America. She received her B.S. from Spelman College with a Major in Computer Science and Minor in Mathematics. She spent her first working years in programming – IT Technology related positions and the last 7 of her corporate career in Project Management for Customer Service with MCIWorldcom. Sherina brought this experience and skill set into her mortgage career. It has allowed her the ability to manage a customer pipeline in the 2000 range and apply her customer service background to develop relationships that will last a lifetime.
Sherina started her mortgage career at HomeBanc Mortgage in 2001 with three kids in diapers. That year, she graduated from mortgage training as valedictorian of her class and was Rookie of the Year her first year originating mortgages and servicing clients. Every year thereafter she was one of the Top Producers. In total, she has 14+ years in the mortgage and origination industry. This year, she made a decision to align her strengths and passion with Supreme Lending – Southeast Region. Her approach to mortgages has always been to educate the borrower on the importance of financial health, credit and reasonable borrowing. Sherina and her business partner Brandy Brown-Rhodes are known to spend more time with borrowers than any other loan officer team, ensuring they are empowered to maintain a healthy credit life whether they make a purchase then or later in life. It is important to her, for customers to feel like they have an ally when it comes to purchasing or preparing to purchase a home. Customer Service is of the utmost importance to Sherina and Brandy. Servicing her agents, clients and those most important to them.
